KMNR is a non-commercial, educational, FM radio station licensed to the Board of Curators of the University of Missouri. However, KMNR is fully funded and operated by students at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
KMNR 89.7FM is a free-format college radio station that has been broadcasting for 60 years to the Missouri S&T campus and surrounding community. The station is entirely run and staffed by student volunteers, who are not given restrictions on what they play, allowing for a diverse range of music. KMNR broadcasts 1850 Watts of power to Rolla, Missouri, and also offers a webstream for listeners outside the broadcast area. Applications for the Spring Semester are currently open.
