CFUR’s mission is to support the cultural, artistic, and political evolution of northern British Columbia.
A campus radio station based at the University of Northern British Columbia in Prince Geoge, B.C., Canada, the “FUR” seeks to provide space to share and discover new music and ideas, search for and champion local talent, while aiming to be as inclusive and diverse as the communities it serves with a spirit of adventure, open-mindedness and good humour.
CFURadio 88.7 FM broadcasts from the University of Northern British Columbia on the unceded traditional territory of the Lheidli T'enneh First Nation. The station serves the evolution of culture, arts, and journalism in Northern BC, encouraging the discovery of new music, championing local talent, and advancing diversity. CFURadio offers opportunities to get involved through volunteering and studio bookings, with programming and community outreach supported by donations and student contributions.
